Sunday School news:
People in Bible times waited with anticipation for the coming of the
Savior. During Advent, we wait and prepare to celebrate the birth of the
promised Savior, Jesus. The coming of Jesus is the gift of Christmas,
something we can remember and celebrate all year.
On
November 27, the SS children received an Advent bank and Advent
calendar. Please use the season of Advent to prepare for Christmas.
There are daily activities and also some Bible readings on the calendar
to help us prepare and keep us focused on what this season is really
about for us as Christians.
The
offering received
this year in the Advent banks will go to the ELCA malaria
campaign. Malaria is
different than other diseases as ninety percent of the deaths from
malaria are children under the age of 5.
The following Baptismal Birthdays will be celebrated on Dec. 4th:
Brittany Retzlaff, Payton Boening, Dylan Gravunder & Avery Nigbor.

for December; Dec.
4- SS practice during SS hour and First Communion at both service
Dec.11- SS practice during SS hour Dec.
17- SATURDAY- SS
practice from 9-11 a.m. Dec.
18- SS practice during SS hour with SS program at 10:45 service Dec
25- No Sunday School! Jan
1- No Sunday School!
Confirmation News:
ADOPT A FAMILY! Our
confirmation students will once again be collecting donations (on Nov.
27th and Dec 4th) at both services. They will shop
and wrap on Wed. Dec 14th.
We hope through the congregation here at Grace to make the
Christmas season brighter for 2 families this year.
